STUDENT LEARNING ASSOCIATED WITH THIS POSITON
Purpose
This is a dual position serving two units within the Office of the Dean of Students. Half of the allotted work time will be dedicated to support the Terry Scholars program and the other half will be dedicated to Student Outreach and Support.
Terry Scholars Program: This portion of this role would include advising and mentoring students participating in the Terry Scholars Program at UT Austin, hosting and participating in events on and off-campus and assisting with a scholarship program which is based on leadership, service, need, and merit.
Student Outreach Support (SOS): This portion of this role would have the student contributing and providing case management, and crisis services for undergraduate and graduate students to ensure a comprehensive and holistic approach to student emergencies, critical incidents on campus, student success, and retention. The GA will address academic, financial, residential, student development, mental health, wellness, safety, and behavioral issues with students in need.
