Job Details:
The Epic Interface Engineer II is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of conversion and real-time interfaces between Epic Systems and other healthcare applications, specifically with Epic Bridges. Reporting to the Manager of Integrations, this role collaborates closely with clinical staff, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure seamless data integration and workflow optimization. Key responsibilities include analyzing business requirements, designing interface solutions, building interfaces, and troubleshooting issues.
Designs and develops HL7 real-time and interfaces between Epic and other systems.
Tests and validates interface functionality.
Troubleshoots and resolves interface-related issues.
Gathers and documents business requirements.
Translates requirements into technical specifications.
Collaborates with stakeholders to refine requirements.
Assists with software upgrades and patches.
Conducts end-to-end testing of interfaces.
Develops and executes test plans.
Provides technical support to end-users.
Conducts training sessions on interface usage.
Develops user manuals and documentation.
Manages interface-related projects.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
4 years of experience developing interfaces.
2 years of experience developing interfaces for an Epic environment.
2 years of experience with Epic Bridges.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications Required: Epic certification in Interface Development.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
6 years of relevant experience in interface development and healthcare IT.
ITIL Foundation certification
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
$90,000 + depending on qualifications
