Director, Product, Fraud and Financial Crimes

Upgrade is a fast-growing fintech focused on delivering affordable and responsible financial products to millions of customers. We are seeking a seasoned Product Director to lead fraud and financial crimes product strategy, own fraud platform enhancements, and partner with cross-functional teams to improve detection, verification, and third-party integrations.

Skills

  • 7-10+ years product management experience in fast-paced/entrepreneurial environments
  • Deep expertise in fraud strategies, detection models, and fraud infrastructure
  • Experience with financial crimes in fintech/financial services
  • Fluency with SQL, web analytics, and A/B testing tools
  • Experience integrating third-party APIs and vendor solutions
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management

Responsibilities

  • Drive product development and strategy for fraud infrastructure including detection, models, third-party data integrations, and consumer verification measures
  • Partner with fraud management and financial crimes teams to monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvements
  • Act as product owner for scrum teams delivering fraud platform enhancements
  • Evaluate and drive implementation of new third-party data and software integrations
  • Collaborate with operations to monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues
  • Define roadmaps, requirements, and success metrics for fraud and fincrime products

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
  • Advanced degree a plus but not required
