Skills
- Proficient Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables) and SQL for data extraction and manipulation
- Experience with billing, invoice generation, and reconciliations
- Comfortable working with multi-source data and contract-driven billing rules
- Ability to prepare journal entries, accruals and financial adjustments
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end billing processes using multi-source inbound data, contract terms, and billing schedules
- Prepare and issue invoices for drug spend and ancillary services across commercial, public, private, and government plans
- Enter and validate billing data in financial systems and verify cross-system consistency
- Reconcile billing records between internal platforms (ERP, adjudication systems) and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments using SQL or data query tools
- Review contracts and internal documentation to confirm billable items are captured correctly
- Support internal audits by providing accurate billing records and documentation
- Maintain organized documentation and follow established billing controls and escalation processes
- Identify opportunities to automate and redesign processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a quantitative field preferred
- Relevant experience in PBM, healthcare finance, or accounting accepted in lieu of degree
