What You Will Do
Supervises, coordinates, and provides leadership while directing activities of associates.
- Assesses daily patient access needs and ensures that appropriate patient care is provided. Provides oversight involving all aspects of nursing separtment operations.
- Delivers quality patient care and ensures implementation of clinical objectives.
- Delegates appropriate duties to clinical staff based on their assessed skills and abilities, maintaining proficiencies related to job functions and processes through ongoing monitoring of daily operations.
- Collaborates with department leadership to ensure processes are up to date and followed.
- Participates with ongoing quality initiatives, auditing projects and development of plans for improvement.
- Conducts hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.
- Provides behavioral health specific orientation classes on a monthly basis or as organizational needs dictate.
- Conducts regular environmental rounding to support safety, compliance, and quality standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Will Need
Licenses / Certifications / Registrations
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behavior) certification obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer date.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
Education:
- Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.
