Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Environmental & Facilities Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Utilities Engineer.

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage utilities for North American facilities.

Reporting to the Manager of Facility Systems & Standards, the person in this role will support the Environmental & Facilities department's objective to provide efficient / reliable infrastructure and utilities across all pillars in North America.

What you’ll be doing

• Investigate renewable energy opportunities for North American sites to meet sustainability goals

• Take ownership of contract initiatives for energy procurement.

• Complete analysis of facility energy usage, reduction activities and energy costs.

• Update management (Immediate & Executive) on regulatory changes, market changes and supply disruptions as needed.

• Analyze and justify participation in utility rate cases.

• Identify incentives and rebates available to Toyota locations

• Lead utility payment processing and work with business unit customers to resolve issues.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

• Experience in energy procurement, energy benchmarking

• Knowledge with electric and natural gas utility regulations throughout US.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

• Ability to work up to 10% overtime when required.

• Ability to travel up to 10% when required.

Added bonus if you have

• Experience with VT Scada

• Experience with renewable energy Power Purchase Agreements.

• Certified Energy Procurement Professional (CEP).

• Certified Energy Manager (CEM).
