Staff Applications Engineer

Job Description:

This is a senior level position in application/system engineering. Responsibilities include driving the product design-in activities, providing application support and technical training, enabling the auto-validation process, working with different departments to resolve the customer concern and issues.

Essential Functions:

• Work with design engineers, field applications team, and marketing to define analog IC products in DC/DC converters, specifically in storage and memory market.
• Work with field applications and internal teams to drive the design-in activities on the products.
• Work with Test, FA, QA internal teams to resolve customer concern, issues on the products.
• Develop the auto-evaluation system to accelerate the sampling procedure to customers.
• Write datasheets, application notes, design notes and papers in magazines and conferences to promote MPS products.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

• 8+ years of hand-on experience in switch mode power supply designs.
• Self-motivated and can-do attitude.
• Previous work experience in a plus.
• Fluent communication skills in English.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills.
• Prior experience in defining power management IC is preferred.
• MSEE or higher required.

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The base salary range for this position in California is $140,000 - $180,000.
