Kontoor US, LLC: Distribution Engineer – Mocksville, NC
DUTIES: Manage daily engineering responsibilities within the Distribution Center. Assist operations, manager/supervisors, and other personnel with operational requirements, standardization, improving efficiencies and general operational improvements as needed. Research, test and evaluate existing as well as implement new ways to improve efficiency and cost-effective measures while maintaining safe practices, sustainability and good quality. Assist with Accident Investigations and Ergonomic Assessments. Support local operating budgets and oversee capital project planning and implementation. Ensure facility layout and equipment to provide optimal efficiencies while supporting all safety requirements. Oversees maintenance and application of the company's incentive pay system while ensuring adherence to all company policies and legal regulations. Maintain Incentive Pay System using Methods and Work Measurement, involves developing and revising Standards, Methods, Time Studies, and Job Descriptions. Spearhead cost reduction initiatives and cost control. Responsibilities include product, activity, and project costing. Participate in and/or lead meetings to address issues that arise with Safety, Quality Control, Sustainability, Production, and Personnel Daily. Assist in Problem Solving. Lead and assist DC Safety and Quality Control Programs (Methods & Standards, SOPs, & Rework). Utilize Project Management Skills to complete DC projects. DC Financial Responsibilities: Support Distribution with Annual Budgets, Forecasts, Monthly Costs, Metrics, and Capital Projects. Training and Development of Personnel. Maintain Equipment Inventory and 5 Year Capital Requirement Plan. Update Equipment and Facility Layout drawings. Assist and support maintenance with department projects, systems, and equipment including Automation.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, or in a closely related field and 3 years of production engineering experience. Experience must include one or more of the following:
• 3 years of distribution engineering experience
• 3 years of experience in an incentive pay environment
• 3 years of experience with Ecom distribution
• 3 years of project management experience
Demonstrated knowledge of Distribution operations and Continuous Improvement.
Knowledge may be demonstrated through education, training and/or experience.
TRAVEL: Up to 5% domestic travel required.
SALARY: $110,000 - $118,000 per year
