Toyota’s Motor Manufacturing Missouri (TMMMO) Quality Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Quality Engineer.
The primary responsibility of this role is to be the “voice of the customer” throughout the life cycle of the part—pre-production, mass production and post-production.
Reporting to Senior Engineering Manager-Quality, the person in this role will support the Quality department's objective to provide quality products to our customers.
This position is based in Troy, MO. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within commutable distance of this location.
What you’ll be doing
Receive, investigate, and prepare reports for customer requests, complaints, and reports of non-conformance
Review and analyze daily customer defect information on all assigned products
Develop system for collecting, analyzing and distributing production trials
Develop part Inspection Standards, Quality Check Standards, PFMEAs/QA Networks and Quality Risk Assessments
Manage TMMMO’s document control system—ensure documents are controlled according to standard, monitor and train MO TMs to document control standard
Perform Internal audits per TMNA Internal Audit Procedure
Work with Production and Engineering TMs to achieve customer requirements
Demonstrate good problem-solving skills by determining root cause, countermeasures, implementation and tracking of results
What you bring
B.S. in engineering or equivalent work experience
Problem solving capability, experience in process improvement
Strong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
Experience communicating with all levels of the organization and preparing easy to follow supporting documents
Demonstrate ability to build working relationships at all levels of organization
Added bonus if you have
Experience conducting manufacturing pre-production quality planning, part approval and product launches
Toyota experience in Engineering or Quality departments (experience working on site at a Toyota manufacturing facility)
Experience with Quality Systems—ISO 9001, NAQSR, etc.
Experience with inspection/test equipment, gage calibration, Measurement System Analysis
