Responsibilities
- Supervise district staff: assign work, conduct performance evaluations, ensure training and enforce policies
- Manage community center programming and collaborative initiatives with agencies and citizens
- Develop, implement and administer goals, policies and priorities for assigned programs
- Oversee and participate in preparation and administration of the district annual budget (~$3M)
- Monitor service quality and implement continuous improvement measures
- Serve as district liaison with other city divisions, departments and external agencies
- Oversee building and facility maintenance within the district and participate in capital projects
- Respond to internal and external customer inquiries and resolve complaints
- Prepare and present administrative, statistical and activity reports to leadership and boards
- Plan and supervise promotional and marketing activities to maintain community interest
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Park & Recreation Administration, Recreation, Business Management, Landscape Architecture or related field
- Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of degree
