Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, efficient, and professional service to library customers at service desks.
- Check library materials in and out and issue library cards.
- Conduct customer payment transactions and operate a cash register.
- Answer questions about library policies, procedures, and patron accounts.
- Provide basic reference, reader’s advisory, and general usage assistance.
- Assist with library programs, outreach, and branch activities as needed.
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Relevant work experience may substitute for education in some cases
