Customer Care Agent (Remote/Part Time)

EverDriven is a mission-driven, tech-enabled transportation management company focused on safe, efficient transportation for children with special needs. We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Customer Care Agent to handle high-volume inbound calls from parents, school districts, and drivers, resolve issues, dispatch drivers, and document transactions while maintaining professionalism and empathy.

Skills

  • 2+ years call center or customer support experience
  • 1+ years remote work experience
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to use multiple systems simultaneously
  • Proven de-escalation and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to read maps and use geographic software
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and strong data entry accuracy
  • Comfort sitting/standing and speaking for extended periods
  • Ability to work scheduled shifts (including mornings or afternoons)

Responsibilities

  • Answer high-volume inbound calls from parents, drivers, and school districts with professionalism
  • Document customer interactions and enter data accurately into systems
  • Dispatch drivers to client locations and coordinate trip logistics
  • Troubleshoot and resolve transportation issues, escalating when necessary
  • De-escalate distressed customers and maintain calm under pressure
  • Use mapping/geographical software to verify routes and locations
  • Communicate via phone, email, and messaging platforms with diverse stakeholders
  • Cross-train and assist other teams during call volume fluctuations
  • Follow HIPAA-compliant procedures when handling ePHI

Education

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
  • Additional coursework or certifications in customer service or related fields a plus
