- Strong knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800>, FDA and FTC marketing guidelines, HIPAA, and state pharmacy laws.
- Proven experience reviewing and approving content for pharmacy or healthcare organizations.
- Ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them to real-world communications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management abilities to handle competing deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary internal resource for content compliance inquiries and provide timely, regulation-grounded guidance.
- Review and approve marketing, promotional, educational, and patient/provider materials for compliance with USP <795/797/800>, FDA, FTC, HIPAA, and state regulations.
- Prioritize and manage content review requests to meet business deadlines and mitigate regulatory risk.
- Collaborate with Marketing to ensure communications are accurate and non-misleading and propose compliant alternatives to achieve business goals.
- Research, interpret, and apply state and federal regulatory requirements; stay current on regulatory trends and enforcement actions.
- Partner with Legal to align content with broader compliance and risk management objectives.
- Develop and maintain SOPs related to content compliance and promotional activities.
- Create and deliver compliance training for Marketing and related teams.
- Document content review processes, decisions, and approvals to support audit readiness and inspections.
Education
- PharmD or JD preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience accepted.
- Ongoing professional development in regulatory and compliance areas encouraged.
