Collections Specialist - Dental
We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Collections Specialist to join one of our clients. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing patient accounts, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining strong, empathetic communication with patients. This role requires a proactive approach to account management, excellent organizational skills, and strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contact patients to collect outstanding balances in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Accurately record, track, and document all collection activities and patient communications.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve account discrepancies and support overall financial health of the practice.
- 1 year of experience in collections within a medical practice is a must.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with a professional, patient-focused approach.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Note: This is a full-time contractor position, requiring 40 hours per week, with a starting rate of $6 per hour.
