Temporary Software Engineer
Job Responsibilities:
Assist with identifying technical solutions to simple domain problems and independently implement those solutions
Actively support and participate in the software development lifecycle management process (e.g., software coding, testing, debugging, documenting, installation)
Independently perform routine troubleshooting, maintenance, and operational work on deployed systems
Remain current in and actively contribute to the evaluation and adoption of new methods and technologies
Actively utilize available resources to broaden understanding within the scientific domain.
Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
Minimum Education and/or Training:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, information science, business, or related field required.
Master's degree preferred.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum Requirement: Bachelor's degree with one 1+ years of relevant experience.
Experience Exception: Master's degree with no work experience.
Experience with programming languages, databases, and software development lifecycle.
Experience with the position-specific technical stack preferred.
Proven performance in earlier role/comparable role.

This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
