Skills
- Q-SYS Level 1 certification (required); Level 2/control preferred
- 2+ years building/deploying/troubleshooting computer systems, hardware, software, and IP networks for enterprise AV
- Experience with Dante and AES67 audio networking protocols
- Knowledge of sACN and Art-Net lighting control systems
- LED wall installation and video system integration experience
- Cable splicing, termination and signal flow expertise
- Familiarity with video conferencing solutions and support
- Sound and acoustic design/engineering knowledge
- Strong customer service, problem solving and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Design and engineer unique AV solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet space and event requirements.
- Install, configure, and maintain audio, video, lighting, and automation systems across facilities and event spaces.
- Provide onsite technical support for SpaceX events including launches, concerts, and high-profile gatherings to ensure seamless execution.
- Work with construction, spaceport, and design teams to integrate AV systems into new and renovated spaces using CAD and power/data drawings.
- Implement and manage networked AV protocols (Dante, AES67, sACN, Art-Net) and Q-SYS systems.
- Oversee LED wall installs, cable splicing/termination, rack mounting, and facility infrastructure integration.
- Perform troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and system updates to ensure reliability and user-friendliness.
- Document system designs, signal flow, and operational procedures; train end users and support staff.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical certificate, associate degree, or equivalent AV-related training preferred
- Relevant vendor certifications (Q-SYS, Dante, etc.) preferred
