Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sourcing and cost management strategies for machinery, equipment, facilities, consumables, capital, and construction projects
- Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to establish strategic sourcing models
- Create sourcing strategies to meet targets for payment terms, cash, on-time delivery, and cost savings
- Negotiate and manage contracts from RFP through completion and ensure supplier performance meets obligations
- Identify and execute cost reduction projects and provide status updates to stakeholders
- Perform quantitative financial analysis to evaluate supplier decisions and impacts
- Conduct market research, benchmarking, and supplier analysis
- Place purchase orders, resolve blocked invoices, and coordinate with planning to move items from one-off to planned schedules
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, material planning, production planning, supply chain management, or engineering
