- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- 1+ years hands-on experience with mechanical and/or fluid systems (design, manufacturing, or implementation)
- Proficiency with CAD packages (NX, CATIA, ProE, SolidWorks) or willingness to learn
- Familiarity with FEM/structural analysis tools (ANSYS, FEMAP) or equivalent
- Understanding of welded structures, piping components, valves, and pumps
- Knowledge of manufacturing methods (welding, milling, lathe, waterjet, plasma)
- Ability to collaborate with technicians, engineers, and managers in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to perform hands-on tasks and travel between sites as needed
Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical and fluid ground systems for Falcon vehicles, including launch pad piping and fluid storage
- Perform structural analysis and basic structural sizing of components and systems
- Lead end-to-end project ownership from concept through testing and implementation
- Coordinate across disciplines (civil, structural, electrical, controls) to deliver integrated system designs
- Support fabrication, assembly, activation, and maintenance activities with technicians and suppliers
- Prioritize tasks and make development decisions considering cost and schedule constraints
- Participate in hands-on work and on-site testing as required
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
- Relevant internships, co-ops, or project experience considered qualifying
