Responsibilities
- Own hardware from conceptual design through high-volume production and in-field operation
- Design factory layouts and manufacturing processes for reliable, low-cost production of vacuum RF hardware
- Develop, characterize, and produce new materials and high-temperature processed components
- Rapidly iterate on designs, analysis, and test to inform system-level tradeoffs and product direction
- Define design criteria, collaborate on requirements, and drive system-level optimization
- Establish product lifecycle processes spanning supply chain to final integration
- Perform environmental and performance testing to validate analyses and compliance
- Work with partner teams to develop novel manufacturing procedures and production lines
- Present technical progress and decisions to senior leadership during critical design phases
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related STEM field (required)
- Master's degree in engineering or related technical discipline (preferred)
