Responsibilities
- Manage daily and long-term activities and priorities of the EHS team (technicians, specialists, engineers).
- Coordinate with site leadership on department development, modifications, and procedure development.
- Represent the EHS department at site-wide management meetings and briefings.
- Provide instructional guidance for job assignments, procedures, and technical techniques to ensure accuracy and completion.
- Integrate company mission and values into team goals, objectives, and work tasks.
- Implement and maintain occupational safety programs in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Develop, maintain, and implement site-specific environmental policies including hazardous/non-hazardous waste management, air permitting, spill prevention/response, storm water, and wastewater.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for local environmental resource agencies.
Education
- Bachelor's degree required
- Preferred: Bachelor's in engineering with emphasis in occupational health & safety, environmental engineering, or system safety engineering
