Responsibilities
- Conceptualize equipment designs balancing specs, process needs, layout, cost, and lead-time
- Design NFPA79/NEC/UL508A-compliant industrial electrical control panels and produce electrical/pneumatic/fluid schematics
- Architect, write, debug, and document organized PLC code for manufacturing applications
- Develop and integrate robot systems to automate vehicle sub-component manufacture
- Design and implement ANSI/RIA/OSHA-compliant safety systems for robots, gantries, conveyors, and equipment
- Create clear HMI screens that facilitate troubleshooting for complex machinery
- Manage electrical cabinet builds, field wiring, and pneumatic/fluid plumbing
- Select and size electrical and electromechanical components (servo motors, controllers, etc.)
- Deploy automated equipment into production and support commissioning
- Maintain schedules and budgets to ensure timely project completion
Education
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (required)
