Responsibilities
- Develop factory layouts, equipment selection criteria, and commissioning plans to meet production needs.
- Translate manufacturing and process requirements into facilities specifications (electrical loads, HVAC, air, nitrogen, vacuum, etc.).
- Plan, justify, and execute capital projects for facility upgrades, equipment installs, and layout changes.
- Prepare business cases and oversee implementation of capital investments.
- Apply Lean principles to facilities design and optimize space, manpower, and resource utilization.
- Collaborate with automation, manufacturing, industrial engineering, and production teams to ensure seamless integration with MRP and quality systems.
- Support Value Stream Mapping, Method of Manufacture planning, and cell design activities.
- Commission and validate facility systems to support composite layup, AFP, CNC machining, heavy lifting, and large-structure assembly.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace) required
- Advanced engineering degree preferred
