Skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering and 5+ years designing and commissioning industrial automation and controls
- Proven PLC programming experience (preferably Siemens TIA Portal & Beckhoff TwinCAT 3)
- Robotics integration experience (design, safety, and commissioning)
- Electrical panel design and hands-on build/commissioning experience (UL508A, NFPA79, NEC)
- HMI/SCADA design and troubleshooting experience
- Experience with industrial communications: fieldbus, serial, Ethernet
- Familiarity with CAD electrical schematic tools (EPlan preferred)
- Proficiency with scripting or languages such as Python, C#, .NET, and SQL is beneficial
- Strong written and verbal communication and ability to work in fast-paced iterative environments
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and scope new production equipment balancing specs, cost, layout, and lead time
- Design industrial electrical control panels and produce electrical, pneumatic, and fluid schematics (NFPA79/NEC/UL508A compliant)
- Architect, write, and debug organized, documented PLC code for manufacturing applications
- Develop and integrate robot systems for automated manufacturing of vehicle sub-components
- Design and implement machine safeguarding and safety systems compliant with ANSI/RIA15.06/OSHA
- Create clear HMI screens for complex machinery with effective troubleshooting feedback
- Manage electrical cabinet builds, field wiring, and pneumatic/fluid plumbing on installs
- Select and size electrical and electromechanical components (servo motors, controllers)
- Deploy automated equipment to production, and support commissioning and iteration
- Set and maintain project schedules and budgets to meet delivery targets

- Bachelor's degree in engineering (required)
- Master's degree in engineering (preferred)
