Skills
- Proficient in Python and Python development frameworks
- Experience with software development practices: testing, CI/CD, version control
- Trajectory design and flight dynamics knowledge
- Familiarity with orbital mechanics, simulation, or robotics
- Experience with scientific or engineering computing and performance optimization
- Familiarity with C/C++ or JavaScript is a plus
- Experience with web applications or large-scale data analysis systems
- Comfort working extended hours and weekends as needed
- ITAR eligibility (US citizen/green card/asylee/refugee) required
Responsibilities
- Develop analysis tools, applications, and execution pipelines to support Starship GNC operations
- Design and lead new software projects from requirements through delivery
- Review and improve existing tools and processes for efficiency and reliability
- Participate in feasibility analysis, mission design, and launch operations across all flight phases
- Perform trajectory design, optimization, and dispersion analysis for ascent, on-orbit, entry, and landing
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, or a scientific discipline
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in related fields preferred but not required
