- Ability to work onsite, handle high-pressure deadlines and travel up to 30%
- U.S. work-authorization compliant with ITAR
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary technical point of contact for highly engineered machined components and supplier manufacturing challenges.
- Drive piece-part quality, yield and cost improvements through first-principles analysis of design, materials and processes.
- Identify, evaluate, qualify and onboard new suppliers to expand capability and validate process capability.
- Develop and implement alternative manufacturing methods (castings, forgings, machining) to reduce cost and lead time.
- Own New Product Introduction (NPI) and supplier qualification for new parts, drawing or process changes, and sourcing activities.
- Act as liaison between purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and suppliers to resolve quality issues and provide technical support.
- Lead root-cause analyses and corrective actions using structured problem-solving to implement robust, long-term solutions.
- Influence design and sourcing decisions with data-driven recommendations on manufacturability, cost, quality and lead time tradeoffs.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, materials, metallurgical, chemical, or related)
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering
