Senior Supplier Industrialization Engineer, Mechanical Machining/Sheet Metal
Skills
- Supplier quality and industrialization expertise in manufacturing environments
- Technical familiarity with mechanical fabrication, machining, and sheet metal processes
- Proficiency with CAD and GD&T
- Knowledge of IPC standards and quality system requirements
- Strong communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Willingness to travel at least 50% and relocate to be onsite in Costa Mesa, CA
Responsibilities
- Own mechanical fabrication commodities/subcategories and execute supplier production strategies from NPI to full production
- Qualify and vet supplier capabilities, facilities, workforce, and layout for Approved Supplier List inclusion
- Coordinate with internal engineering, SQE, supply chain, and manufacturing to ensure supplier compliance with quality criteria
- Bring up new production tooling and lines at supplier sites and validate processes, materials, and tooling
- Lead supplier capacity expansion readiness and production ramp-up activities
- Establish and drive SPC/process performance reviews at supplier sites
- Identify and implement product/process improvements, factory layout optimization, and cost reduction initiatives
- Support and close the loop on root cause corrective/preventative actions alongside SQE and suppliers
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related technical field (required)
- Preferred: Bachelor’s in mechanical or metallurgical/materials engineering
