- Bachelor’s degree in STEM (CS, Data Science, Physics, Math) or equivalent
- 1+ years professional data/software engineering experience (internships applicable)
- Development experience in object-oriented languages such as Python, C, or C++
- Experience with ETL design, data ingestion, transformation, and storage
- Familiarity with distributed processing (Spark, Presto, Flink) and columnar formats (Parquet)
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and in-stream/streaming data processing
- Experience building or deploying data analysis tools and handling TB+ datasets
- Ability to develop predictive models, anomaly detection, and ML pipelines
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain mission-critical infrastructure, tools, and custom software to assess Starlink growth and network effectiveness
- Automate aggregation of metrics and detection of widespread application issues
- Establish and maintain relationships with third-party application and content owners
- Lead technical investigations into chronic application-level issues
- Design and implement ground-based systems that ingest, transform, and store large-scale data
- Apply analytics, models, and techniques to data products produced by space vehicles
- Create and maintain catalogs of data and analytics tools for team use
- Fuse data from multiple sources to create actionable information
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, physics, mathematics, or related STEM field
