Senior Fraud Investigator
Skills
- 3–5 years experience in fraud investigations or related field
- Experience handling payments and cryptocurrency-related fraud
- Strong interview and customer-facing communication skills with empathy
- Excellent written documentation skills for timelines and activity summaries
- Detail-oriented with strong observational and analytical skills
- Availability to work 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM CST and flexibility for additional hours
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth fraud investigations on accounts flagged across payment vehicles including cryptocurrency and wire transfers
- Place outbound calls to customers to discuss account activity using strategic interview techniques and conversational analysis
- Respond to critical fraud incidents escalated by senior leadership with clear reporting and timelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer fraud issues and minimize loss exposure
- Identify and report emerging fraud trends, particularly during new product rollouts
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior investigators
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but equivalent work experience accepted
