Networks Systems Engineer III

We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer III to support the SRDT&E / RDT&E network at NIWC PACIFIC - Point Loma, CA. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with routing protocols, demonstrate a strong understanding of the OSI model and troubleshooting methodologies, and be proficient in configuring firewall rules. They will utilize their technical expertise to assist in the design, development, and implementation of robust systems that address complex issues while ensuring compliance with both performance and cost objectives.
This role involves working with cross-functional teams to define requirements, perform system analyses, and support integration activities throughout the system lifecycle.
**This position is contingent on contract award**
- Active DoD Secret Clearance is mandatory.
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in systems engineering or a comparable role.
- Knowledge of system requirements development, architecture, and lifecycle support.
- Experience with software and hardware integration and testing processes.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
- DoD 8140.03 IAT Level II certification (Must have ONE of the following certs: CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CompTIA Security+ CE, CND, SSCP). Must be valid/current.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $176,200 (Annually)
