Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a multi-skill production organization across two shifts to deliver Terran R vehicle hardware.
- Oversee hardware builds: review work instructions, execute work orders, remove operational roadblocks, and ensure on-time delivery, cost, and quality targets.
- Promote and enforce a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence.
- Monitor and drive quality metrics and continuous improvement initiatives to raise manufacturing output.
- Partner with Specialist teams to identify, track, and ensure technician training and certifications are met.
- Define and execute the transition strategy from low-volume development to high-volume production, including capacity analyses and labor tracking.
- Stand up scalable production programs, tools, schedules, reports, and review cadences for cross-functional visibility.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Materials Management, Quality, and Vehicle Manufacturing to remove constraints and align priorities.
- Develop, mentor, and grow production staff and leaders to meet team and company goals.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Continuing education or certifications in production/process improvement is a plus
