The Career Advisor at Para Los Niños will empower youth ages 17-24 by providing case management and support to achieve their academic and employment goals, particularly those disengaged from school and work.
Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include conducting assessments of youth needs, developing Individual Service Strategy plans, advocating for participants, and maintaining effective communication with various stakeholders.
Skills: Candidates must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, customer service aptitude, ability to navigate community resources, and a good grasp of computer programs.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in workforce development or working with underserved youth is preferred. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation ranges for this position are between $40,000 - $55,000.
Position Overview
Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Career Advisor is responsible for assessing the client needs for services and providing appropriate case management to help youth reach desired employment and academic goals. The career advisor will work with youth under the Para Los Niños Central YouthSource Center which will serve youth ages 17-24 with a focus on re-engaging youth in school and work, improving student retention, and bolstering academic proficiency. An emphasis will be placed on guiding youth through an assessment and self-inventory process that helps them identify their interests, preferences, motivations, and options.
