By strengthening foundational math knowledge in the early grades, the Director will play a critical role in preparing students for success in middle school, advanced math pathways, and long-term academic achievement.

  • Dotted line supervision of all site-based math instructional specialists.

Assessment & Data-Driven Planning

  • Oversee implementation of formative and summative assessments aligned to Eureka Math² and monitor student growth.
  • Lead data meetings to analyze student work, identify learning gaps, and plan targeted instruction and small-group supports.

Teacher Coaching & Professional Development

  • Design and facilitate professional development on Eureka Math² content and pedagogy.
  • Coach teachers and instructional specialists through observation-feedback cycles, co-planning, modeling, and unit pre-planning sessions.
  • Mentor teacher leaders and instructional coaches to build school-level math leadership capacity.

Program Innovation & Strategy

  • Integrate evidence-based practices aligned to the Science of Math, including use of visual models, productive struggle, and cross-curricular connections.
  • Recommend and support implementation of Tier II and Tier III interventions and supplemental math resources.

Equity & Excellence

  • Ensure all students have equitable access to grade-level math content by supporting inclusive, accelerated, and responsive instructional practices.
  • Monitor subgroup performance and implement strategies to close opportunity gaps.

Family and Community Engagement

  • Partner with schools to host math nights, family workshops, and distribute accessible resources to support home engagement with Eureka Math².
  • Develop videos and materials that explain key math concepts and build trust in the curriculum.

Team Collaboration & Cross-Campus Support

  • Collaborate with school leaders, instructional coaches, and data teams to maintain a consistent math vision across K–5.
  • Participate in network-wide walkthroughs, data reviews, and instructional planning sessions.
  • Support math interventionists with progress monitoring, curricular adaptations, and effective small-group instruction with specific attention to Tier II and Tier III scholars in math.
