Rad AI is looking for an experienced contract Technical Writer to tackle a critical backlog of customer-facing documentation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of simplifying complex topics, producing high-quality user guides, and thriving in fast-paced, distributed team environments.

This fully remote contract is expected to be for an initial period of 3 months, with potential for extension based on performance and business needs.

What You’ll Do

• Write, revise, and organize user and customer-facing documentation, including user guides and Help Center articles

• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, plain-language instructions tailored for non-technical users

• Tackle a prioritized backlog of documentation, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and usability

• Collaborate remotely with product, engineering, design, support, and implementation teams to gather details and clarify requirements

• Use content management systems (primarily Zendesk)

• Follow and contribute to established style guides, glossaries, and templates

Who We’re Looking For

• 3+ years in a technical writing role, ideally for SaaS or complex software products

• Demonstrated portfolio of published customer-facing technical documentation (user guides, help articles, etc.)

• Experience simplifying technical subjects and presenting them in clear, accessible language

• Familiarity with content management or publication tools such as Zendesk, Notion, or similar

• Proven track record of effective task prioritization and working to tight deadlines

• Strong ability to provide and accept constructive feedback to improve documentation

• Ability to work autonomously and productively in fast-paced, distributed teams

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

It’s great if you also have

• Experience working on healthcare or radiology software

• Prior success delivering documentation projects in a contract or freelance capacity

• Experience maintaining and developing internal content infrastructure such as glossaries, style guides, and reference materials.

• Knowledge of Notion, Google Docs, or Linear, in addition to Zendesk
