Cash Application Specialist

A Cash Application Specialist has the primary responsibility of posting payments to the correct customer accounts.  Possessing a high aptitude for details, and an ability to review all remittance from customers and match the payments to the appropriate invoices. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

• Experience applying cash in McLeod and general knowledge of various payment alternatives (ACH, Wire Transfer, Bank Drafts, Credit Card,) preferred but not required.
• Apply daily receipts to the appropriate customer accounts.
• Scan daily checks to Bank on daily basis and ensure all checks are scanned correctly.
• Utilize available internal and external software and hardware tools to maximize productivity while maintaining transaction integrity.

A Successful Cash Application Specialist must consistently demonstrate the company’s Mission and Values.  They must have good oral and written communication skills in order to effectively interact with customers, drivers and other team members in person and on the telephone. They must be customer service-oriented as well as team-oriented and must have good organizational skills. A successful Cash Application Specialist must be able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.  Finally, they must be able to work a flexible schedule when needed including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

• Two years of cash application experience (Preferred but not required).
• Excellent detail orientation and strong math and problem-solving skills.
• Strong personal initiative to ensure timely application of payments and the ability to analyze, explain and provide resolution to payment inquiries.
• Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment independently.
• Must possess excellent customer service, communication, and organization skills.
