Bookkeeper / Accountant
Location: Hybrid position/Indianapolis, IN (Broad Ripple area)
Schedule: 20-30 hours weekly

Kayak Pools, the leader in the industry is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant who currently is established and would like to add to their customer base. We operate in several states, which requires knowledge in handling multi-state use and sales tax compliance.
Position Overview:
This is a part-time, hybrid role (20-30 hours weekly) based in our Indianapolis/Broad Ripple office. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online, paying taxes both local and federal and excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping activities for internal staff using QuickBooks Online
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards
- Process payroll entries and customer reimbursements
- Prepare and file sales and use tax returns across multiple states
- Prepare and file the company's annual 1099 forms for contractors
- Generate financial reports for management review
- Ensure compliance with state and federal accounting regulations
- Support the leadership team with additional accounting needs as required
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accountant (minimum 3 years preferred)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Knowledge of multi-state sales and use tax compliance
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and best practices
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
