Overview

Presbyterian is seeking a Manager - Commercial Sales! The Commercial Group Sales department at Presbyterian is responsible for the growth and retention of employer-sponsored health plan membership. The team collaborates closely with other operational areas within the health plan, as well as the delivery system and medical group, to serve employer groups across New Mexico.

 

In this position you will manage the administrative and sales functions within the commercial sales and retention teams and develop quality improvement initiatives. You will support all aspects of the sales team to ensure goals and objectives are met. In conjunction with the Sales Management Team ensures that the department maintains compliance with all regulatory requirements

  • Full Time - Exempt: Yes
  • This position is eligible for commissions in addition to base salary.
  • Job is based at Rev Hugh Cooper Admin Center
  • Work hours: Days

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business/Marketing required. 6 years of additional experience in a sales and business development role can be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • New Mexico State Department of Insurance Health, Life and Accident License required, or obtained within 120 days of hire, and maintained.
  • Excellent public speaking/communication skills, excellent customer service skills. Extensive knowledge of PC usage including Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of alternative funding models is preferred.

 

Responsibilities

  • Designs and implements annual sales plans for securing and growing market share.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with business, partners, such as brokers, consultants, etc.
  • Responsible for the ongoing training of staff for continuous sales skills improvement, rating and underwriting methodology and professional development. Direct and supports sales staff and their efforts in the market.
  • Ensures that the department maintains compliance with CMS, NMOSI, and PHP/PIC regulations and standards as they apply to sales and marketing of commercial group products.
  • Evaluate and implement new distribution or product management systems.
  • Monitors and ensures internal sales processes are followed and implement improvements/change when necessary.
  • Leads ideation and development of new products.
