Strategic Account Manager, Medical Communications

Precision Medicine Group is seeking a Strategic Account Manager (SAM) to support Strategic Account Directors and manage client projects within medical communications. The SAM will partner with clients and internal teams to develop strategic/tactical plans, oversee project execution, manage budgets, and help grow business while developing toward an independent Strategic Account Director role.

  • Professional client-facing communication and relationship management
  • Ability to interpret market dynamics, scientific, clinical, and preclinical data
  • Budget and financial interpretation skills
  • Project and team coordination
  • Willingness to travel to client and live meetings as required

Responsibilities

  • Support Strategic Account Directors in preparing annual strategic and tactical plans for clients
  • Manage day-to-day client communication and execution of campaigns and projects
  • Develop and present ideas tied to clients’ business goals; propose and oversee projects
  • Manage client budgets and team efficiency to maximize return for clients and the company
  • Mentor, train, and coach internal team members to support growth and quality delivery
  • Monitor industry/scientific/regulatory developments relevant to client accounts
  • Identify and pass along new business opportunities and contribute to profitability
  • Support and occasionally lead client calls, meetings, content preparation, and live events

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Advanced degree (PhD, MD, PharmD) in life sciences or advanced degree in management/marketing/business preferred
