This role will engage senior stakeholders, guide the design of operating model components, and orchestrate execution of transformation programs. As the Senior Manager – Product Transformation & Enablement within the Product Capability Center, you will play a critical role in shaping and scaling Pfizer Digital’s product-centric operating model. You will partner directly with senior Digital and Business leaders to drive the adoption of modern product management practices and lead engagements that activate and mature product teams across the enterprise.
In this individual contributor role, you will work cross-functionally to design, mobilize, and execute Product Excellence—a transformation framework that enables consistent, scalable, and AI-enabled product delivery. You will collaborate closely with key capability teams including Customer Experience & Engagement (CX&E), Portfolio Management, Architecture, and Forward Impact Engineering to ensure strategic alignment, integrated decision-making, and measurable impact.
Leadership & Digital Transformation
Lead strategic transformation initiatives that advance Pfizer Digital’s product-centric operating model, aligning with enterprise priorities and the Digital Leadership Team (DLT) vision.
Engage senior leaders (Directors to VPs) across Pfizer to co-design and implement product team structures, governance, and ways of working that accelerate digital maturity.
Drive enterprise-wide adoption of AI capabilities by embedding them into product workflows, enabling automation, intelligent decision-making, and faster speed-to-value.
Translate transformation roadmaps into actionable program-level plans, orchestrating cross-functional execution and ensuring alignment with key milestones and outcomes.
Monitor and communicate progress through data-driven storytelling, leveraging KPIs and insights to demonstrate impact and inform leadership decisions.
Product Management Excellence & Enablement
Evolve the enterprise product model by codifying lessons learned into scalable playbooks, frameworks, and governance structures that promote consistency and accountability.
Partner with Product Managers to assess and improve team maturity using tools like the Product Management Maturity Index, driving continuous improvement.
Optimize product development workflows by identifying friction points and enhancing tool usage (e.g., Jira Product Discovery, Confluence, Atlassian Analytics).
Shape and support capability-building programs for product practitioners in collaboration with Learning & Development, ensuring readiness for AI-enabled product delivery.
Champion product management best practices across the enterprise, mentoring teams and contributing to the community of practice.
AI-Enabled, Human-Centered Transformation
Integrate continuous customer discovery practices into product planning in partnership with Customer Experience (CX), ensuring real-time insights inform prioritization.
Embed human-centered design principles into product development, including empathy-driven research, usability testing, and journey mapping.
Promote adaptive, agile behaviors by encouraging experimentation, rapid learning, and responsiveness to evolving customer and business needs.
Equip teams with modern, AI-powered tools and platforms that reduce cycle times and enhance discovery and delivery effectiveness.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as a trusted advisor and transformation partner to product teams, business leaders, and technical stakeholders, managing the Product Capability Center’s transformation backlog.
Align with Creation Centers, Business Units, and Enterprise Product Management (EPM) to ensure product ways of working reflect customer needs and strategic priorities.
Collaborate with Portfolio and Operations leaders to connect strategic planning with product delivery, ensuring transparency and consistency across initiatives.
Maintain centralized repo of roadmaps, onboarding resources, and release timelines to drive alignment and enable self-service across teams.
Advocate for customer-centricity by embedding voice-of-the-customer insights into product planning, prioritization, and release readiness.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Design, or a related field.
6-8 years of experience in digital transformation, product management, or management consulting, preferably in a large, matrixed organization.
Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive enterprise-wide change and adoption of new ways of working.
Strong understanding of product-centric operating models, agile methodologies, and product lifecycle management.
Experience working with senior stakeholders (Director to VP level) to influence strategy, drive alignment, and deliver measurable outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into execution, including roadmap development, program planning, and change management.
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
PREFERRED CANDIDATE PROFILE
MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Technology)
Prior experience as 0 to 1 product leader or entrepreneur.
Prior experience in management consulting or internal strategy/transformation teams.
Familiarity with AI/ML, MCP, and Agentic technologies and how they can be embedded into product workflows to drive automation and innovation.
Experience in pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or other regulated industries.
Proficiency with tools such as MS Power Platform, ServiceNow, Jira Product Discovery, Confluence, Atlassian Analytics, and product maturity assessment frameworks.
Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights for executive audiences.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $108,700.00 to $181,100.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
