Corporate Finance Underwriter

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the creditworthiness and overall financial health of corporate entities, focusing on a comprehensive analysis of the company’s entire balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow position to assess repayment capacity.
  • Conduct and evaluate Credit Assessments for corporate borrowers, considering factors such as industry position, management quality, and market trends.
  • Analyze and underwrite new and existing corporate loans, demonstrating strong financial modeling skills for pro forma analysis, leverage ratios, and stress testing.
  • Support the corporate lending team with expertise in structuring, analysis, and credit documentation for corporate financing activities, including reviewing financial covenants and security arrangements tailored to corporate borrowers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5-10+ years of experience in Commercial Lending and Credit Analysis
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Experience in risk assessment and credit analysis for large-scale industrial loans.
  • Proficiency in financial statement spreading, preparation of projections, and trailing twelve-month analysis.
  • Completion of a credit training program.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (2016 or later).
  • Ability to travel to Crystal City, Virginia, and other U.S. locations as needed.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement within five business days of award or onboarding.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced team environment, multitasking effectively.
  • Strong financial modeling skills, ability to structure, perform due diligence, document, and close complex transactions.

Pay Range

USD $150,000.00 - USD $250,000.00 /Yr.
