We are seeking a passionate and motivated Marketplace Buyer for Road Bike Components to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, buying, and managing road bike components to ensure we offer the best products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and source high-quality road bike components from various suppliers and manufacturers, ensuring they meet our company's standards.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to secure favorable contracts and improve our profit margins.
- Analyze market trends and customer feedback to make informed buying decisions that align with consumer demands.
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock availability while minimizing excess inventory costs.
- Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to create promotional strategies for new products and coordinate product launches.
- Track and evaluate product performance, adjusting strategies as necessary to improve sales and profitability.
- Stay up-to-date with cycling industry trends and new product releases to maintain a competitive edge.
- Create and maintain supplier relationships to foster collaboration and ensure quality and reliability.
- Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in buying or sourcing within the cycling or sporting goods industry.
- Strong knowledge of road bike components and an understanding of cycling trends.
- Proficient in data analysis, with experience using tools to forecast demand and make data-driven purchasing decisions.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing favorable contracts.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively in a remote team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple suppliers and products simultaneously.
