Manager, Student Learning and Engagement

Serve as the Manager, Student Learning and Engagement within the Experiential Learning and Engagement (ELE) team in the Undergraduate Programs Office (UGP). In collaboration with the Director of ELE, this position will lead Student Academic and Co-curricular Engagement by developing, implementing and coordinating programs and opportunities that foster student academic and co-curricular engagement, including career preparation and academic enrichment opportunities for more than 9,000 undergraduate students. Oversee experiential learning opportunities for Fisher-affiliated living-learning communities, Honors, and Scholars academic programs, including career exploration programming (e.g., company visits, student break opportunities) and group travel outside of the Columbus area.  Provide direct supervision and oversight of professional staff and student employees to ensure compliance and adherence to university policies and procedures. 

 Partner with the Undergraduate Program leadership team to support recruitment of prospective students, academic programs and graduation activities.  Collaborate with college and campus partners such as the Office of Student Life, The Office of Student Conduct, Fisher College Office of Advancement and Fisher College Graduate Programs office as well as Fisher leadership on issues regarding student engagement.  Partners with The Office of Student Conduct to address and resolve conduct issues with Fisher students, particularly student organizations affiliated with Fisher.

 As a member of the ELE leadership team, serve as an advocate for the Fisher student experience. Partner with The Office of Student Life on campus-wide student engagement concerns, including crisis response, risk management, emergency student needs, and advocate for Fisher students. Serve as the UGP liaison for Fisher’s embedded clinical counselor and lead the UGP student wellness programs. Partner with Fisher’s Marketing and Communications team, to develop a clear strategy for brand use and student communication. Facilitate the development and distributes college-wide communications.  Collaborate with academic departments, global engagement, and career management colleagues to meet students’ needs through academic and co-curricular engagement opportunities. Serve on college committees as assigned and represent the college as requested.

Additional Information – This position will work a hybrid work schedule.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5 years of experience in developing, implementing, and/or coordinating student academic and/or engagement programs and/or events. Experience working in a supervisory capacity. Ability to work with faculty, staff, students, and internal/external organizations representing a wide range of backgrounds. Ability to manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to pay attention to detail and ensure accuracy of completed tasks. Ability to effectively lead a team to achieve strategic goals.

Desired Qualifications

Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with OSU systems such as Carmen/Canvas (Learning Management System), Workday. Knowledge of University policies, procedures, resources and curriculum

Additional Information:

The target hiring range for this job profile is $64,900 – 84,850. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
