The Office of Financial Operations at the Oregon Department of Corrections is currently recruiting for a SPOTS Card Coordinator position within the Accounting Office. This position is based at ODOC Headquarters in Salem, Oregon, and is approved for a hybrid work schedule. This position requires the employee to come into the office as necessary for meetings and other business needs. To be eligible to apply, you must be a current employee of ODOC, BOPPPS, or OCE. Contract workers are not eligible.
This position is represented by American Federations of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME).
The SPOTS Card Coordinator performs technical accounting work related to the Department of Corrections’ (DOC) expenditure activity through the SPOTS card process. This includes reviewing and coding transactions, performing reconciliations, and reviewing expenditure-related activities such as SPOTS card logs submitted by cardholders. This position may also be responsible for preparing schedules or analyses for year-end reporting and for responding to business or accounting inquiries related to payments.
Additionally, the position serves as one of the agency’s two SPOTS Card Coordinators. In this role, the coordinator is responsible for maintaining cardholder information in the bank’s web-based system, processing spending limit changes, providing training to cardholders, and conducting card monitoring activities as delegated by the Agency Approving Officer.

This position is located at the ODOC Headquarters in Salem, Oregon, and is approved for a hybrid work schedule. You will work in an office environment and work independently. This position functions under considerable pressure through changing deadlines, detailed tracking, and constant interruptions. Occasionally may work in close contact with Adults in Custody in an institution and may be exposed to hostile situations or incidents.

The salary range listed above is for non-PERS qualifying applicants. PERS qualifying applicants may be eligible for an adjusted range to reflect an additional 6.95%.
