Specialist, Contracts & Legal Operations

More than one million people in the United States today are fighting blood cancer. While a traditional allogeneic stem cell transplant has been the best hope for many, the transplant itself can prove fatal or lead to serious conditions, such as graft vs. host disease. Orca Bio is a late-stage biotechnology company redefining the transplant process by developing next-generation cell therapies with the goal of providing significantly better survival rates with dramatically fewer risks. With our purified, high-precision investigational cell therapies we hope to not only replace patients' blood and immune systems with healthy ones, but also restore their lives.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities
  • Support end-to-end contract lifecycle management (CLM) including intake, drafting, redlining, routing, execution, and archiving of a broad range of contracts (e.g. CDAs, MSAs, SOWs, consulting and clinical agreements)
  • Implement and maintain contract management software, including configuration, user support, workflow development, and troubleshooting.
  • Organize, maintain, and audit electronic and hard copy contract records to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (e.g., Legal, Finance, Clinical, Compliance, IT, Quality) to ensure timely review and execution of agreements.
  • Assist in drafting standard templates and contribute to process improvements to streamline contract operations.
  • Support legal operations projects and initiatives, including development of contract playbooks, dashboards, and metrics.
  • Respond to internal inquiries regarding contract status, terms, and obligations.
  • Other duties as assigned, including special projects supporting Orca Bio’s legal and operational functions.

Minimum Experience, Education, Certifications, Licenses
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a contracts or legal operations role, preferably in a life sciences or biotech environment.
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management systems (e.g., Ironclad, Agiloft, LinkSquares) required; experience with implementation is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology, contract structure, and key terms.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, DocuSign, Google Workspace).
  • Knowledge of FDA, GxP, or healthcare compliance regulations a plus.
