Join the Propel Incubator as a Fresh Start Fellow, where you will collaborate with local communities to design and launch a high-quality public charter school in Las Vegas, aimed at transforming educational outcomes for students.
Responsibilities: Fellows will engage in incubation at a high-performing charter school, collaborate with families and community leaders, design a school model, and lead efforts to secure authorization for a new public charter school.
Skills: Required skills include leadership, effective communication, instructional coaching, and the ability to engage diverse communities.
Qualifications: A Master’s in Educational Administration or related field is preferred, along with a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience and a strong track record of student achievement; experience in school leadership roles is a plus.
Location: This position is based in Las Vegas, Nevada, and requires fellows to reside in the area for the duration of the fellowship.
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation ranges for this position are between $50,000 - $75,000.

The Fellow will enter into an employment contract with the selected school or operate as a short-term Independent Contractor (via 1099)with Opportunity 180 that will include:
Opportunity 180, through the relationship with the fellow, will provide ongoing support in preparing for a charter application to the State Authorizer and school launch. This includes providing strategic support and reimbursement for travel back and forth from the fellowship site to the proposed Nevada school site. The fellow will develop a fellow action plan to monitor and track their work towards ambitious goals and provide updates to Opportunity 180 on a regular basis. The fellow will also collaborate with Opportunity 180 to determine the best partners and support for them aligned with their ambitious goals.
