Sales Account Management Intern

Who You Are: You are a consumer sales enthusiast, someone who finds deep satisfaction in understanding how business relationships thrive, and you’re eager to explore what it takes to grow and support strategic partnerships that help purpose-driven companies flourish. You’re curious by nature; the kind of person who enjoys diving into the details, asking thoughtful questions, and uncovering opportunities to create value. Whether it’s through coursework, podcasts, real-world observations, or networking, you actively seek out knowledge about the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry and the art of account management. Organization and follow-through are your superpowers, and you understand how even small tasks can have a big impact on the success of a fast-paced sales team. You are driven by a desire to grow professionally and contribute meaningfully to a mission-driven company focused on nourishing the next generation. You’re not just looking for an internship, you’re looking for an opportunity to build your toolkit, learn from experienced mentors, and support a team that’s passionate about making a difference.

The Task At Hand: As a Sales Account Management Intern at Once Upon a Farm, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to a company on the front lines of improving childhood nutrition, while gaining firsthand experience in what it takes to drive a thriving Sales organization within a leading children’s nutrition brand. Reporting to the Chief Customer Officer, this fully remote internship is designed to give you immersive exposure to the daily rhythms, strategies, and structures that power our sales and account management operations. This role works closely with the Sales leadership team to support the administration, coordination, and follow-through needed to keep our teams running efficiently. From organizing key documents to sitting in on meetings with retail partners, you’ll gain a foundational understanding of business development, category management, and cross-functional collaboration. Throughout the internship, you’ll have the chance to explore where your passion lies within the broader world of Sales, supported by leaders who are excited to mentor you. This is a hands-on, high-learning opportunity designed to challenge, empower, and inspire the next generation of sales professionals in a mission-first environment.

In This Role, You Will:

Organizational Support

• Maintain and update trackers, forms, and internal files that support account management and sales operations

• Assist with the creation of PowerPoint decks, internal reports, and external presentations

• Own the process of collecting, updating, and distributing scorecards that the CCO requires visibility to across the sales organization, including:

- Monthly SLT (Senior Leadership Team) reports

• Follow up with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate input for scorecards and reports

Account Management Support

• Support account teams in preparing materials and insights for customer meetings

• Attend and participate in sales meetings and planning sessions—shadowing selected sales leaders to understand decision-making processes

• Shadow sales presentations with retailers, brokers, or other stakeholders to observe the storytelling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills that drive successful pitches. Then start to perfect your own sales pitch

• Support creation and refinement of sales proposals, pitch decks, and customer presentations.

• Follow up with the sales team after customer meetings to recap key points, track goals, and ensure progress toward intended outcomes

Trade Show & Event Support

• Assist in preparing for trade shows, customer summits, webinars, and promotional events—coordinating logistics, creating materials, and ensuring alignment with sales objectives as needed

• Track meeting goals and outcomes for trade shows and events, following up with account teams post-event to capture customer feedback and action steps

• At the end of the internship, you’ll be asked to share a 5-10 minute presentation on one thing you worked on during your internship here, what you learned, and how you hope to apply any learnings from your time here toward your future career

In This Role, You’ll Bring With You:
