The Clean Fight is a not-for-profit accelerator dedicated to rapidly scaling climate solutions in New York State and beyond. Many of the technologies needed to address the climate crisis already exist–our mission is to ensure they are adopted quickly, equitably, and at scale. We design and implement models of adoption that identify actionable strategies for accelerating decarbonization, while supporting startups with tailored resources, customer and capital partner connections, and non-dilutive funding to drive deployments.
Our energy storage practice includes multiple programs, including the Energy Storage Deployment Accelerator that is currently in progress, the Energy Storage Capital Challenge completed in 2025, and a new deployment-focused program launching in 2026. These efforts are closely tied to New York’s energy storage innovation ecosystem and feature close partnerships with New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, New Energy New York, New York Battery and Energy Storage Technology Consortium, and others. The Clean Fight also runs concurrent programs within buildings decarbonization, including the Deployment Grant Fund, Empire Technology Prize and Affordable Housing Deployment Accelerator.
The Clean Fight is broadly supported by the NYSERDA, the U.S. Department of Energy, the U.S. Economic Development Administration, the Wells Fargo Foundation, Breakthrough Energy, and Builders Vision. We are a chapter of New Energy Nexus, a global nonprofit operating in the U.S., China, India, Southeast Asia, and East Africa. New Energy Nexus works toward a 100% clean energy economy for 100% of the population by supporting diverse entrepreneurs with funds, accelerators, and networks.
The Storage Program Coordinator will collaborate with the Program Director and The Clean Fight team to design and deliver core programming across current and potentially future initiatives. Responsibilities span the full program lifecycle, including startup recruitment and selection, curriculum design, technical assistance provider management, event planning and execution, and related program services. This role will serve as a critical point of contact for cohort companies, ensuring strong day-to-day communication, while proactively identifying commercial, funding, and partnership opportunities across programs.
The Coordinator will report to the Program Director and work closely with the Head of Programs and Director of Business Development. The team operates under a flexible hybrid model, with in-person collaboration in the Manhattan office two days per week, though strong remote candidates will also be considered.
This is a temporary role starting in October 2025 and will end March 2026. Candidates must commit to being available at the key dates listed below:
This role offers a unique chance to dive into a proven program with an excellent track record. You’ll immerse yourself in cutting-edge solutions and collaborate with industry-leading customers and investors, building the skills and relationships to power your next chapter.

Ideally the Coordinator has hands-on experience helping to scale growth stage companies and has knowledge of the energy storage or clean energy business sector.
