- Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder management
Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel and strategic advice to sales leadership and business units on commercial matters and risk mitigation.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including SaaS, sales, licensing, distribution, and vendor contracts.
- Manage contract templates, standard clauses, and use of a contract lifecycle management (CLM) tool.
- Ensure commercial contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Support intellectual property considerations in commercial agreements, including licensing and IP protections.
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain on vendor and supplier agreements and relationships.
- Monitor regulatory and compliance developments that affect commercial operations.
- Support corporate governance requirements as related to commercial transactions and filings.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior legal team members and contribute to team processes and training.
Education
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction
