Human Resources Intern

ALLO’s Human Resources Internship provides a student with the opportunity to make a direct impact on our employees new hire experience by owning key processes and projects that serve our new hires. We are looking for a Human Resources Intern with a passion to engage with teammates, with the goal of providing an exceptional and hassle-free onboarding experience. This teammate will join a talented and collaborative team of human resource professionals who will support them as they explore their interests in HR and take on new projects.

The ideal intern will be available for Full-Time work during the Summer and be available to work 15-20 hours a week during the Fall + Spring semester.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate and Collaborate with the HR and IT onboarding teams, ensuring that all new hires are set up for a successful first day.

  • Communicate directly with candidate to ensure they are prepared and excited for their onboarding experience

  • Own the employee clothing process – ranging from issuing new hire uniforms, issuing uniform replacements, managing ALLO’s clothing website, and distributing teammate clothing orders.

  • Maintain our badging system, partnering with the IT Team and Hiring Managers to ensure that new hires have access to appropriate buildings.

  • Partner with HR Coordinators to distribute various employment communications, primarly related to onboarding, clothing, and internal events.

  • Support the rollout and execution of other human resource projects and new initiatives including but not limited to;

    • Onboarding process improvements

    • Employee recognition program

    • Internal communication support

    • Recruiting initiatives and events

  • Interact daily with employees to deliver world-class, hassle-free HR service and support.

  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to create continual improvements of the business area and services performed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE

    • Must currently be working towards a bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, or another similar major.

    • Must be able to work 15-20 hours per week.

    • Experience with Microsoft Office is preferred.

    COMPETENCIES – SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:

    • Highly adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to work autonomously.

    • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and strong communication with the HR team and ALLO employees.

    • Ability to navigate the gray and adapt to changing work assignments.
