Lab Genetic Counselor
Skills
- Board-certified genetic counselor with clinical and/or laboratory experience
- Knowledge of renal, pediatric, and adult genetics (preferred)
- Experience with telehealth/telephone counseling
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Google and Microsoft productivity suites
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to obtain and maintain multi-state licensure
Responsibilities
- Provide pre- and post-test telephone genetic counseling sessions for patients.
- Review, finalize, and communicate Organ Health test results to providers and patients.
- Serve as clinical liaison to healthcare providers regarding Natera products and answer inquiries.
- Develop and maintain expertise in renal genetics related to Organ Health products.
- Support sales team field questions and represent company at conferences and trade shows (<10% travel).
- Assist in development of patient consents, GC protocols, SOPs, and patient education materials.
- Collaborate on abstracts, papers, and deliver presentations at scientific meetings as needed.
- Obtain and maintain genetic counseling licensure in states that require it.
- Complete required HIPAA/PHI and compliance training and handle PHI securely.
Education
- Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling or equivalent
- Board certification by ABGC or ABMG
- Licensure in states as required (or willingness to obtain)
