Our team of board-certified, fellowship-trained medical oncologists and certified advanced practice providers deliver on-site care and treatment, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and hormone therapy, at affiliated infusion centers throughout our region.
Position Summary:
The Oncology Nurse Practitioner is a highly specialized APRN focused on providing comprehensive cancer care to Thompson Oncology Group (TOG) patients in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. The Oncology Nurse Practitioner (ONP) will provide care to hematology-oncology patients in collaboration with and under the supervision of their supervising physician. As a member of the TOG provider team, the ONP will follow established treatment protocols in their practice. The ONP will be a primary representative of the TOG provider team in the community and amongst our referring partners and will be expected to display professionalism, communicate clearly, and be an excellent collaborator in support of patients. The ONP can expect a dynamic daily clinic where patients may require anything from primary care services to complex chemotherapy side effect management. Position will be working directly with our Gynecological Oncologist team.

Minimum Education:
None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.
Minimum Experience:
None. Oncology or surgical experience preferred.
Licensure Requirement:
Must have and maintain certification by American Nurses Association or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as an Adult, Family or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Must meet State of Tennessee requirements as a Nurse Practitioner. Certification in Oncology by the Oncology Nurses Society preferred.
